Cineplex Cinemas is a major cinema chain that operates in Canada. It has several brands, including Colossus and Galaxy. Famous Players’ Colossus and SilverCity banners are still used at some locations despite the acquisition. Most of the former Colossus and SilverCity locations have been replaced by Cineplex Cinemas.

The chain’s newest locations are designed to reflect the overall concept of Cineplex Cinemas. These theatres have several unique features, including an IMAX screen, digital IMAX technology, and a six-story IMAX auditorium. There are also fully licensed lounges and Outtakes restaurants at many locations. Xscape arcades are also featured in some areas. Poptopia, a flavoured popcorn restaurant, is available in some areas.

Another feature of some Cineplex locations is their VIP areas. This section offers guests special seating arrangements and custom order food and alcoholic beverages. For example, at the Woodbridge location, visitors can choose from various alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. They can also purchase snack packages that include the candy of their choice.

The Woodbridge Cinemas is an eye-catching and fantastic location. The design is extremely upscale and the interior decor features science-fiction memorabilia. Those who visit the theatre can enjoy a variety of snacks, such as Poptopia and kettle corn.

Some locations in Toronto, Yonge St. area also offer a D-Box. These theatres have a separate theatre that plays 70 mm films. Other features of some Cineplex locations are the Colossus Rocks combo package, which includes a drink, butter, and a selection of candy of your choice. Also, the Woodbridge location has a large, six-story IMAX theater.

Another notable feature of the Woodbridge Cinemas is its UFO theme. This theme is displayed on the ceiling and the roof of the building and the model spaceships hanging from the top. Guests can also glimpse the UFO “mothership” in the theatre’s foyer.

The Vaughan location is near Highway 7 and Highway 400. Visitors can use Moovit, a free transportation app, to reach the spot. This app provides real-time directions and free maps to help users locate the closest transit stop.
